Health & Safety & Code of Conduct

I posess an enhanced CRB disclosure and hold Public Liability Insurance up to £2,000,000 in cover.

1. Due to insurance I will only paint persons who are 3 years and over.

2. I only use good quality professional face and body paints that are EEC or FDA approved / compliant and poly-glitters that are safe for cosmetic use.
My paints are water based and they have anti-bacterial / hypoallergenic properties and are specifically for use on the face and body. I use Snazaroo,Wolfe, Paradise and Grimas Professional Face Paints.

3. I will not paint: - Under 3’s, anyone who does not want to be painted, anyone who has apparent skin complaints e.g. Eczema, Chicken Pox, Conjunctivitis, Cuts, Bruises, and any person who seems to be unwell (this is not an exhaustive list).
The Parent / Guardian has the responsibility to inform me of anything that may mean that the child/ren can not be painted. If the child has an area that is a problem for me to paint I will try to paint a little something on their arm.

4. I will need to be informed if a child has sensitive skin before I paint them so that I can carry out a small skin test on the inside of the child’s arm, this will be left on for 20 mins and if no reaction occurs then I will paint the child.

5. Without prejudice I reserve the right not to paint any person/s I feel should not be painted.

6. I do insist that I am presented with a clean face / area to paint - at all times - as I need to check that the face / area is safe to paint. I have baby wipes available to be used by parents / guardians and Llanelli Face Painting.
I do not take any liability / responsibility for any adverse reactions caused.

7. I use one clean sponge per child, rinse the brushes and change the water frequently.
